As Director of Sales, you will lead ShoreLink's commercial execution across technical sales, bidding, contracts, forecasting, and regional sales operations. Working at the intersection of engineering and business, you will ensure that complex customer opportunities are translated into high-quality proposals, commercially sound agreements, and successful long-term partnerships. Your role is a key link between commercial, engineering, production, and project delivery teams.
Lead and develop the sales organization, ensuring strong collaboration, clear priorities, and high performance across the team.
Coordinate and oversee the preparation of proposals and ensuring that quotations are delivered with high quality, strong commercial competitiveness, and within agreed timelines.
Drive continuous improvement, automation and effectiveness of sales, bidding, forecasting, and commercial processes.
Develop sales strategies and commercial tactics that maximize win probability and sustainable growth.
Maintain reliable 24–48-month pipeline visibility and revenue forecasts to support business planning and production capacity. You will analyse market trends to strengthen ShoreLink's market position.
Lead contract negotiations and ensure commercial agreements align with ShoreLink's business objectives and risk framework.
What we're looking for
Proven experience leading technical sales, commercial operations, bid management, or complex B2B sales organizations in international environments.
Strong engineering background in mechanical, electrical, automation, maritime, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, margin management, forecasting, and sales pipeline management.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills: you have the needed skills and experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, you understand customer requirements and can communicate that effectively with engineering teams.
Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coordinate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent English communication skills.
An advantage if you have
Experience in the maritime industry.
Experience with electrical infrastructure, energy, or industrial engineering solutions.
Experience working with tender-driven projects or public procurement processes.
Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems and commercial process automation.
